Writers Lab
The Writers Lab is a weekly recurring cohorts held in batches every Q1 and Q3 of each year, designed to provide individualized story and career development for emerging screenwriters with a fiction feature screenplay.
Each Screenwriting Fellow will work in a team and be attached with a senior advisor, with whom they’ll work in group sessions to further develop their project over the course of the program. The Writers Lab also helps to further the careers of its Fellows by introducing them to film industry veterans who can offer guidance on the craft and the enterprise of the entertainment industry. A final pitch event bootcamp at a serene resort in the majestic island of Bali offers further opportunity for individualized feedback and discussion with senior industry executives and a chance to turn the pitch into a full-fledged “Proof-of-Concept” (POC) short film for future development.

Where will the Writers Lab take place?
Offline labs will take place at a serene resort in the wonderful island paradise of Bali, Indonesia. Online labs will be held weekly over a private teleconference channel.
Is accommodation included?
Accommodation is provided for Fellows of the Cinema Bootcamp.
Will my script be protected?
Yes, all fellow scripts are protected through non-disclosure agreements (NDA) to ensure IP security.
Any success stories from joining writing labs?
Our alumni network consists of the original script titled Bestiary from Indonesia, which managed to be pitched at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival, and is now a full-fledged feature film! Other examples range from successful films under similar endeavors such as: Call Me by Your Name which is refined at the Sundance Screenwriters Lab,
